Through participating in democracy, you can make things better. Every term the Students’ Union holds elections and referenda that make lasting change for students.

Spring elections

You’ll soon have the chance to elect your new Students’ Union leaders for the 2021/22 academic year. The Students’ Union Executive Team is made up of 6 full-time officers and 7 part-time officers. Officers have made real change and you could do too.

Whether you run as a candidate in the election or cast your vote, make sure you have your say.

Nominations are open now at www.sussexstudent.com/elections. Voting will take place in April.

Spring referenda

Referenda have the power to shape the Students’ Union through creating policies that exist for 3 years. They are entirely student-led.

You’ll need to submit your idea before 22 February – find out how to get involved.

You can check out all key dates on the Students’ Union website.
