Brighton Marathon: be part of Team Sussex

Aerial view of the Brighton Marathon

There’s still time to join your fellow students, as well as staff and alumni, in supporting world-leading mental health research at Sussex. There are a few places available for the Brighton Marathon Weekend’s running and cycling events in April 2020. It’s free to sign up and the money raised will help take the University’s ground-breaking mental health research to the next level.

Sussex is a leader in mental health research, nationally and internationally, with the work of Professor Gordon Harold being recognised as one of the UK’s 100 best breakthroughs of the past century for its significant impact on people’s everyday lives.

Marathon places are now closed but some 10k and cycle places are still available. Make sure you reserve your place with us soon to be part of something incredible this year.

We’ll provide you with all of the training and fundraising support that you need to succeed in your chosen event, whether you’re an experienced cyclist or looking to complete your first 10k run.

Volunteer

If you want to join the team and support mental health research in another way, you can become a volunteer. On the day (Sunday 19 April), volunteers will be stationed at key points around the course to provide support for our runners and cyclists. To express your interest, please fill in this short form.
