Operations Coordinator – FareShare Sussex

This is a fantastic opportunity to support the Operations Team at FareShare Sussex & Surrey’s warehouse in Brighton. Under the guidance of the Head of Operations, it will include maintaining health and safety procedures, organising quotes for equipment, contracts and maintenance, general office enquiries and supporting the smooth running of the organisation. FareShare Sussex & Surrey is going through an exciting time of growth and this role plays a crucial role in providing support to this expansion.

Contract hours: Part time

Remuneration: £23,832 per annum (FTE)

Communications Assistant – Fabrica

The Communications Assistant will support communications across the organisation and in the delivery of Fabrica’s communications strategy both on and offline. Working closely with the Head of Communications as part of a small team, this is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience in Brighton’s Centre for Contemporary Art and to help extend the organisation’s reach locally, nationally and internationally.

The areas of the organisation include: artistic programme (focusing on the Fabrica summer exhibition); audience development (including promoting our film programme, activities for young people and other groups); fundraising (e.g. promoting any giving campaigns); the Fabrica website, exhibition archive, social media and newsletters; volunteer recruitment; and venue hire.

This is a Career Lab UK Summer Internships, exclusive to Sussex students.

Contract hours: Full time

Remuneration: £10.90 per hour

Voluntary Transitions Project – Black and Minority Ethnic Young People's Project (BMEYPP)

The Transitions Project supports young people moving from primary to secondary education. We are recruiting a team of volunteer mentors who will work with young people in secondary school (Years 7, 8 and 9) to help them be a positive role model for those soon entering secondary school.

The BMEYPP is a youth-led project for Black, Arab, Asian and Dual Heritage young people aged 11-25. The project provides support and empowerment with activities organised by young people for young people. We cater to young people’s specific needs by providing safe spaces, and the opportunity to deliver different projects, activities and events.

Contract hours: Part Time

Remuneration: Voluntary

Expected commencement: ASAP
