The Sustainability Team are kicking off 2023 with two exciting opportunities this week.
Thursday 12 January - Workshop on reducing meat demand on campus
09.00-11.30am, Woodland 2 & 3 (Student Centre)
Do you want to see less meat served on campus?
Join us for coffee and pastries with your fellow students, staff, and our Vice-Chancellor, Sasha Roseneil, to discuss how we can work together to reduce meat demand on our campus and reduce our environmental impact.
Sign up to hear from a range of academic and student speakers, learn about the current situation on campus, and then discuss together with staff and students to develop some ideas for reducing demand in an inclusive way.
The event will be held in person at the Student Centre. Tickets are limited to 40 so book now on Eventbrite to avoid disappointment!
We hope you will join us for this important event that can help shape our future of catering.

Saturday 14 January – Celebrate the end of exams with EcoGo
To celebrate your hard work this exam period, you could be in with a chance to win a £20 bar tab every Friday until 10 February, when you refer a friend to EcoGo.
EcoGo is the University’s very own active and sustainable travel rewards programme, where you earn 'BetterPoints' every time you walk, cycle or take public transport to campus instead of using a car. You can redeem your points for discounts and offers on campus and in popular shops in Brighton.
Not a member of Eco Go yet? Simply download the BetterPoints app, join EcoGo, and refer a friend and you’ll both automatically be entered into our £20 bar tab prize draw every week until 10 February.
