Nominations to run in the Students’ Union’s spring elections are open now. These upcoming elections are a big opportunity to shape the future of our university.
Later this term, students will vote for the Students’ Union’s next Executive Committee and Student Trustees. The people in these roles make decisions about the Students’ Union – from how societies are run, to what issues they campaign on and where funding goes.
If you would like to help make change at Sussex whilst developing key skills in leadership, project management and campaigning, there is no job quite like being an SU officer.
There are six full-time positions, open to any student. The people in these roles get paid to represent the student body at Sussex. The positions are:
-
International Students Officer
-
Wellbeing Officer
-
Diversity, Access and Participation Officer
-
Sports, Societies and Events Officer
-
Student Living and Sustainability Officer
-
Education and Employability Officer
There are also opportunities for students from marginalised groups to represent their community within the Students’ Union, whilst developing skills in leadership, public speaking, project management and representation.
The deadline to nominate yourself for this unique opportunity is 24 February 2023.
