Sussex Connect is our international networking platform for current students and alumni. As a Sussex student you are part of an incredible international network of people, and by joining Sussex Connect you will be connected to thousands of professionals from across the globe.
One of the main ways our community uses the Sussex Connect platform is to connect with Sussex alumni and form mentoring relationships (either as a mentor or a mentee). Mentoring is a powerful method of professional development, and it can benefit individuals across all job roles and functions, within any department or discipline.
Our mentors are Sussex alumni, such as Huyen Le, who in 2024 was selected as one of the Top 50 Women in Engineering, and Joan Sim, who graduated with a MA in International Relations in 2013 and currently works as a Legal Specialist for Google. On Sussex Connect you can also sign up to events, seek career advice, and even find your next job. If you have a business idea, Sussex Connect is also a good place to network, find others to collaborate with and seek advice from former students who are working in industry.
