Spirit of Sussex Award 2023: celebrating undergraduates’ achievements

The Spirit of Sussex Award (SoSA) team are excited to announce their annual celebration event on 7 June 2023 in the Student Centre Woodland Spaces. This year, we will be celebrating 510 undergraduates whose co-curricular efforts and commitments have been recognised and rewarded by the Spirit of Sussex Award.
The 2022/23 cohort has seen a total of 63 Bronze, 76 Silver and 371 Gold awards achieved by students. The SoSA team are looking forward to congratulating all students that have achieved an award and to celebrate their wonderful achievements with the award panel, stakeholders, academic and professional service colleagues, student connectors and guest speakers.
Undergraduate students that have achieved a Spirit of Sussex Award can book onto the event via the Spirit of Sussex Award platform. The event will run from 2-5pm and there will be a range of exciting activities, speakers, food and drinks for attendees to enjoy on the day.
What to expect
- Special guest speaker: actress and Sussex graduate Corrine Furman.
- Photography and professional headshots.
- Announcement of the Self-Nomination Prize winners.
- Free celebratory drink upon arrival and a buffet inspired by cuisines from across the world.
- A range of student creative exhibitors and entrepreneurs.
- Opportunities to network with the Alumni and Careers team.
