The hidden value in life’s activities: identifying your transferrable skills with SoSA.
The Spirit of Sussex Award (SoSA) celebrates your extra-curricular and voluntary achievements. By taking part in different activities, such as part-time work or volunteering, you can gain points towards either a Bronze, Silver or Gold Spirit of Sussex Award.
Most of us take part in a range of activities outside of work or study. Some are fun or enriching, others are challenging or demand our responsibility. Almost all of them develop our transferrable skills and help us to continue developing long after our degrees end.
In this drop-in session, which particularly aims to support mature students, we’ll identify the key transferrable skills from the things you’ve done in your life – from crafting to sports, parenting to performing, or gaming to volunteering!
We'll also have free pizza for booked attendees - while stocks last!
Book your place on our Tickettailor page.
This event is one of several activities for mature students being offered by the Student Engagement and Enhancement team to celebrate Lifelong Learning Week 2024. By mature student, we usually mean around age 21+ at the beginning of your undergraduate degree, or 25+ for postgraduates.
