How to collect your keys

Find out where to collect your keys for your accommodation and when you can do this. You will need to show a copy of your housing offer letter either by printing it out or by showing it on your phone.

If you’re living on campus

  • Northfield, Park Village, Lewes Court, Swanborough

    Please collect your keys from your residence reception directly. The residential receptions are open 9am - 6pm, Monday - Friday. If you arrive after 6pm, please collect your keys from the 24 hour York House Reception, please refer to the campus map for your information.

  • Stanmer Court

    There is 24 hour porter cover at Stanmer Court, Falmer, BN1 9RU. When you arrive, please press 'P' on the gate near the bus stop and the porter will open the gate for you. The bus stop and train station are adjacent, within walking distance.

  • Brighthelm

    Please collect your keys from your residence reception directly. The residential receptions are open 9am - 6pm, Monday - Friday. If you arrive after 6pm, please collect your keys from the 24 hour York House Reception, please refer to the campus map for your information.

  • Park Houses (Kent, Lancaster, York, Norwich, Kulukundis)

    Please collect your keys from your residence reception directly. The residential receptions are open 9am - 6pm, Monday - Friday. If you arrive after 6pm, please collect your keys from the 24 hour York House Reception, please refer to the campus map for your information.

  • East Slope Residences (Camber, Bodiam, Lullington, Amberley)

    Please collect your keys from your residence reception directly. The residential receptions are open 24 hours a day.

If you’re living off campus

  • Sussex Homes

    Please collect your keys from the Housing Office reception in Bramber House, open Monday – Friday, 10am - 4pm. Outside of these hours, please collect your keys from York House 24 hours reception. If you are allocated to one of our Sussex Homes houses, please note that some houses have prepayment electricity and/or gas top-up meters. It is your responsibility to top up your utilities meters, however the University will fully reimburse you for these costs and you must bring your receipts to the Housing Services office.

  • Caburn House, Lewes Study Lodge, Langfords Hotel, Imperial Hotel

    Caburn House, part of our partner Sussex Downs College, 1 Mountfield Road, Lewes, East Sussex, BN7 2XH

    This residence is located in Lewes town centre, 6 minutes by direct train from Lewes to the University’s train station Falmer. The residence is a 5 minute walk from Lewes Train station. To collect your keys, please go directly to Caburn House. You must bring your offer letter along with some ID to confirm that you have a booking via the University. It would be very helpful if you could let Housing Services know your expected arrival time by emailing housing@sussex.ac.uk so that we can let the Caburn team know when to expect you.     Lewes Study Lodge, behind the White Hart Hotel, 55 High Street, Lewes, BN7 1XE

    Please collect your keys directly from the hotel reception (open at all times). You must bring your offer letter along with some ID to confirm that you have a booking via the University. Please contact Housing Services if you have any questions about this residence, and you can find out more information on the Lewes Study Lodge webpage.

  • Kings Road, Victoria Road, Windlesham Road, York Avenue, Florence Road, Clifton Road

    To collect keys, please go directly to the Kings Road residence at 51-53 Kings Road, Brighton, BN1 1NA. The Kings Road reception is open from 8am to 12pm, and from 8pm to 8am.

If you’re staying in Stanmer Court, York House, Kings Road or East Slope Residences, these receptions are open 24 hours and University staff can help you with questions.
