Our next online Research with Impact forum will focus on growing an Open Research Culture at Sussex. This online event takes place from 2pm-3pm on Wednesday 14 May.
Open Access (OA) and Open Research (OR) are often conflated but there is more to Open Research than policy, mandates and compliance. Join us to hear from a range of speakers who will discuss their own approaches to openness in the research endeavour: why they choose to embed OR in their practice, what benefits accrue, and how you might engage with Open Research in your own areas.
This session will be chaired by Professor Debbie Keeling, Deputy Pro Vice-Chancellor (Knowledge Exchange). Speakers will include:
- Dr Sharon Webb, Associate Professor in Digital Humanities at the University's History Department and a Director of the Sussex Digital Humanities Lab
- Dr Karen Patterson, Associate Professor in Respiratory Medicine at Brighton and Sussex Medical School
- Sam Nesbit, Head of Research and Open Scholarship
This event will be Zoom meeting, with the opportunity to submit questions to the speakers after they complete their presentations.
