Hello and welcome to the University of Sussex Student Blog.
We are a group of students dedicated to sharing what we have learnt throughout our university experience so far with you. The Student Blog is part of the Connector Programme.
Why we’re blogging
Alongside your academic studies, your time at university is a great opportunity to make connections, form communities and develop as a person. But with so much going on, it can also be easy to feel a little overwhelmed, we’ve all been there. Our aim is to help you feel understood, included, and supported, encouraging you to explore new opportunities and grow throughout your university journey.

We come from diverse backgrounds, courses, and interests, bringing a range of perspectives and experiences to this blog together.

Tugce Filiz Erten: “Hi, I’m Tugce and I study Psychology with Neuroscience. I enjoy going for walks in nature and attending dog-walking society at uni.”
Amina Daniel: “Hi, I’m Amina and I study International Relations and Development. I like reading and going for morning runs.”
Jenny Choi: “Hi, I’m Jenny and I study Media and Communications. I enjoy strolling around the Brighton Beach area!”
Serena Cobbinah: “Hi I’m Serena and I study Law and French. I'm super passionate about music and poetry.”
Similoluwa Adefioye: “Hello, I am Simi, a Master’s Student in International Education and Development. I am passionate about representing international students within and outside Sussex and advocate for Gender Equality as one of the UN Women UK CSW 68 delegates.”
Jemimah Kayode: “Hi, I’m Jemimah and I am currently a second year studying Media and Communications with Spanish. I enjoy doing a range of things at Sussex, including kickboxing, Zumba and netball.”
Sourajit Aiyer: “Hello everyone, I am Sourajit and I study Sustainable Finance as my passion lies in climate change. I love sunny days, sunny moods and sunny strolls, but also game for a serious talk when needed.”
