Experience Sussex!

Calling all Undergraduate final-year students! 

The Spirit of Sussex Award submission deadline is fast approaching, with Undergraduate final-year students at Sussex, BSMS and IDS needing to submit their Spirit of Sussex Award points by 1 April 2022. This is an opportunity to get recognised for your engagement, outside of your degree, and show your spirit in time for graduation.

The Spirit of Sussex Award recognises your extracurricular activities and all your voluntary contributions. Whether you’re involved in a society, have a part-time job, or take part in student elections, you can earn and log points for each of your activities to achieve a bronze, silver, or gold award. This will be awarded to you during your graduation ceremony.

Getting involved in your local community is enriching and it’s a great opportunity to build your network, develop transferable skills, and really remember your time at Sussex. The award can also be highlighted on your CV and LinkedIn - employers love to see students who have a passion for extracurricular involvement.

If you are yet to log your points, don’t worry! Our team is hosting a speed-logging party on Wednesday 9 March with slots at 2:00-3:30pm and 3:30-5:00pm in Northfield bar. 

This event is a great opportunity to learn more about each award category, and it’s also a chance to receive one-on-one support on logging your support, with the help of the Spirit of Sussex Award team.  

Students will have the opportunity a free food and drink voucher (£10 face-value per voucher). Please note, spaces are limited, so you will need to book your place here!
