How students are embracing cosy season

Earlier in November on Instagram (@SussexUni) we asked about the ways you’re embracing the cosier season at Sussex, as the days get shorter and the weather gets colder. Read on to find some ideas from other students that you might like to try!
Stepping out in nature
Make the most of daylight hours by taking a walk in the local area, maybe with a favourite podcast or album, or with a friend. Woodland walks (like the boundary walk around the edge of campus, or Stanmer Park) were at the top of the list.
Keeping up with a routine
It can be nice to find a new rhythm as the seasons change. One of you shared your approach – “Sleep, wake, coffee, work, walk, bed”. There are plenty of fun events and society activities to try to add something new in the mix as well.
Getting a little treat
Tasty and comforting hot drinks were mentioned a few times. Favourites included the Chai at Room 76 cafe in Falmer House and hot chocolates with all the extras.
Reading to relax
Curling up with a book can be a great way to unwind at the end of a busy day. If you’re looking for a suggestion, we recommend stopping by the Library to get your copy of this year’s Big Read, Everything is Everything, by award-winning journalist and Sussex alumnus Clive Myrie. Happy reading!
