We're delighted to invite you to take part in Refreshers 2025, a week dedicated to welcoming all our students — both new and returning — back to campus for the start of a new term.

At Sussex, we are committed to ensuring your university experience is not only academically enriching but also socially fulfilling. Refreshers is a celebration of that commitment, offering you countless opportunities to connect, explore, and belong.

Refreshers Fair is the highlight of the week, giving you the chance to discover our vibrant range of clubs and societies, meet new people, and access invaluable resources.

• Global Folk Music Festival in Stanmer Park, 2 February
• Big Night Out 2: Society Takeover, 3 Feb

This year, we’ve placed a particular emphasis on making all activities accessible and inclusive, ensuring that every student feels welcome to participate. Refreshers Fair will feature a quiet access hour, rest zones and priority for students with access needs. Your wellbeing and sense of belonging are at the heart of everything we do, and we encourage you to take advantage of the many ways to get involved.
