The 2018 National Student Survey (NSS) is now live for all Sussex undergraduate finalists and, from today, you will be sent a personalised email inviting you to complete it.
The survey is run on behalf of the UK government and is used to assess the quality of your degree as a whole. If you decide to take part, you should think back over your three years at university when responding.
The email you receive today will be from the external polling company Ipsos-MORI, who are conducting the survey. All the personal contact with you, e.g. by phone or email, is carried out by them, not Sussex.
Sussex, like other UK universities, is required to take part. However, the University believe that the NSS is a worthwhile exercise.
By giving a few minutes of your time, you can help to inform students who plan to enter university in 2019-20 about the quality of your course (and Sussex) and help them to decide what and where to study.
Furthermore, if you respond to the survey, you will be entered into our prize draw with the chance to win some truly brilliant prizes. In fact, every three weeks we will be giving 16 lucky students the chance to win prizes ranging from £60 Pizza Express vouchers, Brighton zip lining experiences and £250 STA (the world’s biggest student travel company) travel cards. All you have to do is respond to the survey!
What’s more is that every school is entitled to £1000 in funding when 70% of students respond to the NSS, and a whopping £2000 when they reach an 80% response rate – all to be spent on the student experience.
Alternatively, you can visit the National Student Survey website to complete the survey from here.
