Storm Ciarán is expected to bring strong winds and heavy rain to the south coast from tonight (1 November) through to tomorrow. An amber weather warning for strong winds and a yellow warning for rain cover Brighton & Hove.
The University’s operations and estates teams are taking action to ensure that the campus is as prepared as possible for the weather, in accordance with our severe weather plans.
Campus remains open but we advise staff and students to check their transport arrangements on Thursday morning. Southern Railway is advising customers to work from home on Thursday if possible, given the potential impacts to rail services.
We will be monitoring the situation overnight and tomorrow, and will update staff and students if campus operations are impacted in any way.
