Are you curious about how real change happens inside and outside political institutions?
Join the Sussex School for Progressive Futures for this interactive session with Caroline Lucas, Professor of Practice in Environmental Sustainability, former leader of the Green Party, MP for Brighton Pavilion for 14 years, and member of the European Parliament for 10 years.
In this open and participatory session facilitated by Professor Peter Newell, Caroline will reflect on her experiences in parliament and as an activist, exploring how change can come about within and outside institutions.
You’ll have the chance to:
- learn what works, what doesn’t, when, why and for whom
- work in groups to discuss examples of successful change
- share your own ideas and experiences
- contribute to a plenary discussion.
This event is open to all undergraduate and postgraduate students who want to explore the practical politics of creating a more progressive future.
