Join us for an afternoon of gardening, biodiversity action, and community growing in the University’s Forest Food Garden. Whether you’re experienced with growing food or completely new to gardening, everyone is welcome.
The Forest Food Garden is designed to support wildlife, increase access to fresh food, and create a welcoming green space for staff and students to connect with nature.
Why join?
- Spend time outdoors and take a break from studying or work
- Meet like-minded people and build community
- Learn practical gardening, growing and sustainability skills
- Support biodiversity and local food resilience
- No experience needed
Please wear weather-appropriate clothing and sturdy shoes. Gloves and tools will be provided - but if you have a pair please bring some along.
Whether you can stay for 30 minutes or the full session, your help makes a difference.
Staff are encouraged to use their volunteering leave to take part in these hands-on sessions supporting nature, food growing, and community wellbeing on campus.
