Congratulations to the five taught postgraduate students who have won the 2024 Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey prize draw.
Between 15 April and 13 June, we invited postgraduate students taking a taught course, such as an MA, MSc, MBA, LLM or PGCE, to complete the Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey (PTES) and help shape the future of our postgraduate community.
The PTES is a chance for taught postgraduate students to tell us about their learning experience so far. We are always looking to make postgraduate students’ time at Sussex the best it can be, and your survey responses will help us do that.
All taught postgraduate students who completed the survey were given the option to opt into a prize draw for five graduation packages worth £150. Each prize covers the cost of gown hire, two guest tickets and a basic photography package.
This year’s winners are:
- Rohit Bhatnagar (University of Sussex Business School)
- Tiffiny Vernon (University of Sussex Business School)
- Laura Grantham (School of Media, Arts and Humanities)
- Ines Stamp (School of Education and Social Work)
- Rainy Taha (School of Media, Arts and Humanities)
The University of Sussex has also donated £1 to charity for every student that participated in the PTES. A total of £890 was split between five charities based on the number of votes they received from students in a poll sent out in March.
Student Minds and UNICEF were joint first, with 29% of the votes each. They have received £258 each, which will help to provide mental health support to UK university students and fund projects to protect children’s rights across the world.
The rest of the money was divided among local children’s charity Rockinghorse , Surfers Against Sewage , and local charity Little Green Pig.
