These unique, multi-national, and intercultural online programmes are free, accessible from anywhere, and designed to enrich your learning experience while expanding your global network.

2025 Global Classrooms
This year we’re offering four exciting modules:
Imagining China – 6-30 May 2025 (4 weeks)
In partnership with Chinese university partners, including the Joint Institute of Artificial Intelligence at Zhejiang Gongshang University, this online module explores intercultural competencies and the role of technology in fostering meaningful global engagement. You’ll also reflect on the history of British cultural interactions with China, with a special focus on the Brighton Pavilion. This course is ideal for students interested in cultural studies, history, and international relations.
Design Thinking: Cultural Sensitivity in Intercultural Projects – 2-13 June 2025 (2 weeks)
Working with students from Mahidol University (Thailand), this module focuses on the importance of cultural sensitivity and environmental sustainability when solving real-world problems. You’ll explore the circular economy and work on developing innovative design solutions for challenges impacting communities in Pu Ngaol, Cambodia. This is perfect for students passionate about sustainability, design engineering, and global development.
Sustainability: UK and Ghana in Context – 1-26 September 2025 (4 weeks)
In partnership with the University of Ghana, this module examines sustainability efforts across water and energy sectors. You’ll unpack the social and economic challenges faced by different countries, focusing on the UK and Ghana, and explore practical solutions to global environmental challenges. If you’re interested in sustainability, international policy, or development studies, this is a great course for you.
Coming Soon: Climate Change and Food Security – Summer 2025
We’re excited to announce a fourth Global Classroom in development, focusing on climate change and food security. This module will be delivered in collaboration with the University of Rwanda and Neu-Ulm University of Applied Sciences in Germany. Stay tuned for more details!
