Are you an undergraduate student in the middle year of your study (i.e. have completed one year of study and not to be in your final year) and are seriously considering post-graduate study? You could get paid to do research over the summer vacation of 2017!
The Doctoral School is offering a number of Junior Research Associate (JRA) and Sussex Undergraduate Research Associate (SURA) bursaries worth up to £1800. The bursaries will provide talented undergraduates with an opportunity to carry out a piece of original research, working with a member of faculty for a period of eight weeks over the summer vacation of 2017.
Last year over 70 students spent the summer working alongside leading researchers on campus on a wide range of topics.
Applications are open to all academic disciplines (including BSMS), but we particularly encourage projects from non-scientific subjects.
The call for applications opened last week on Monday 6 February with the deadline for applications at 5pm on Friday 7 April.
There will also be a JRA/SURA Briefing Talk on Wednesday 15 February 1:30- 3:00 pm (location to be confirmed).
