Students in Library Square during Welcome Week
The Development & Alumni Relations Office (DARO) are seeking part-time Student Callers to speak to our wonderful alumni and donor community.
This exciting opportunity will be home-based and part-time across five weeks (29 October to 4 December) during term time. Full in-person training will be provided and the rate of pay is £10.90 per hour.
The callers will speak with alumni to raise money for the Sussex Fund, which supports current students of the university. During the campaign, you will also be able to gain valuable career insights and advice for your time at Sussex and beyond.
As Susana, who was a Student Caller before, explains:
“Working on the campaign was an amazing experience. I was able to talk to alumni and find out about how their Sussex degrees helped them in their careers. I especially enjoyed talking to those alumni who are working in fields that interest me; they gave me good advice and I learned a lot from them.
“Perhaps what was most rewarding was the knowledge that our efforts were raising money for students in need and helping them to continue their studies. I thank our alumni for their support in helping make Sussex the supportive and inclusive University that it is.”
