As we continue to deliver our Inclusive Sussex aims and as we rationalise the number of active University policies, the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) team has this week launched our new Dignity, Respect and Inclusion (DRI) Policy.
The policy, which is relevant to all University staff, students and visitors, is underpinned by our values. It aims to help all members of our community to know that they belong at Sussex and have the opportunity to contribute and thrive.
Developed with input from stakeholders across the University, the DRI Policy brings together our approach to dignity, respect, equality, diversity and inclusion. Merging our previous Dignity and Respect policy and our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion policies, it also incorporates our commitments to freedom of speech and academic freedom, reflecting best practice. The work to develop the policy aligns with our University-wide approach to rationalise and reduce the number of policies overall and to seek to make them clearer.
