Arrivals Weekender Day 1 and 2: Moving-In Party & Sussex Festival
Join us for the BIGGEST on-campus event of Freshers 2024 with over 2000 students up for a dance, meeting new people, cheap drinks and a good time :) With Brighton's best DJs, a spectacular circus fire performance, games and a whole lot more - it’s a Sussex welcome to university life.
Find out all you could need to know about: Your Students' Union, Sports Clubs, Societies, Student Media, Campaigns, Services, Programmes as well as the best industries that Brighton has to offer (freebies and free food). It’s a big showcase of everything that could tailor your university life at Sussex.
Pier Party and Seafront Takeover
Get to know Brighton at our most iconic Freshers event: taking over Brighton Palace Pier for one night only for an evening of fun, games, rides and incredible sea views at sunset. For those looking to get to know Brighton nightlife, we’ll be taking over the seafront clubs too.
Your student’s Union will have over 200 events for you to attend as we welcome you to Sussex, so for the full programme - fairs, sports trials, taster sessions, nights out and nights in, keep your eye on www.sussexstudent.com/freshers!
Heads Up on Tickets!
Before grabbing your Freshers’ tickets, do a quick check to make sure you’re buying from the right place! All events organised by or affiliated with the Students' Union are affordable and 100% student-approved. If you're thinking about heading to events not linked with the Union or Sussex Uni, just keep in mind that we can't offer refunds or handle complaints for those—though we’ll always be happy to give you advice if you need it!
Where you will (and won’t) find us
To keep everything safe and legit: the ONLY official Students' Union events are listed on our website and our Box Office is based on the ground floor of Falmer House - run by students who are happy to talk you through what we have going on. You won’t ever be asked to buy tickets through Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, or Snapchat DMs. No one from the Union will come into your accommodation kitchen or meet you on campus for a sketchy ticket hand-off either—so if something feels off, it probably is!
If you ever are in a situation you don’t think is right don’t hesitate to call security on 01273 678234 or get in touch with your building manager.
