Effective research skills are crucial to academic success. Knowing how and where to search, allows you to locate the most relevant, high-quality information quickly and efficiently, deepening your understanding, saving you time and getting you those extra marks!
Ever find yourself throwing keywords at your search bar and scrolling through pages of ‘meh’ results? Or worse… no results at all!? Come along to our research skills workshops and learn how to effectively navigate academic databases, use advanced searching techniques and put together a bountiful bibliography.
As well as locating those classic, scholarly sources (books and journal articles), we’ll explore how to find relevant grey literature (news articles, reports, data, etc), and even introduce you to some new, AI-powered research tools!
Workshops include:
-
Researching for your Dissertation (Monday 10th March, 2pm – 3:30pm)
-
Google Like a Boss: Finding Grey Literature (Tuesday 11th March, 11am -12pm)
