Sussexsport host BUCS South East Conference Cup Finals

Hosted here at Sussex, this year's BUCS South East and London Regional Cup finals saw 18 teams face off in 9 thrilling fixtures, including basketball, squash, netball, table tennis and badminton.
The atmosphere was electric with over 300 spectators attending in addition to the 160 students competing.
The universities in attendance were: Sussex, Kings College London, Essex, Imperial, Brighton, Bucks New, Reading, Kent, East London, Brunel, London School of Economics, Portsmouth, Surrey and St Mary’s and the Royal Veterinary College.
For University of Sussex supporters, the highlight of the day was the women's netabll final, which saw Sussex put up a valiant fight against Imperial Medics, ultimately finishing as runners up to this extremely strong team.
Luke Terrill, Deputy Head of Sport and Event Lead, said ‘It was a real pleasure welcoming some top student athletes and teams to the University of Sussex and showcase the impact sport plays on the student experience and sense of belonging. This showcase event was a pleasure to host. Thanks to the wider Sussexsport team for making it a big success’.
