Roadworks impacting the A27 near campus
Due to various ongoing roadworks on the A27, please be aware of potential delays when driving to and from Falmer. This includes disruptions at Coldean and towards Lewes.

Train updates in May (affecting Moulsecoomb)
Starting from Sunday 18 May, more train services between Brighton and Ore (which stops at Falmer) will also stop at Moulsecoomb station. These services did not previously stop at this station, and will now provide additional services for residents in Moulsecoomb to travel to the universities.
The following train routes will now stop at Moulsecoomb:
- Brighton to Ore: departures from Brighton at 07:26, 08:26, 09:26, 16:26, 17:26 and 18:26
- Ore to Brighton: departures from Ore at 15:52 and 16:52
Refectory Road partial closure from Monday 14 April
The top end of Refectory Road (between the Health Centre and the end of the road) will be closed from Monday 14 April, until Wednesday 23 April at the latest, to undertake essential underground duct repairs.
Access to the north of campus will remain available via East Slope Road. Vehicle access will still be available to the Health Centre and Student Centre, however there will be no through access towards Lewes Court and Northfield, with drivers instead redirected back down Refectory Road to exit.
Car parks, roads, and closures
There is an Applicant Visitor Day (AVD) on Saturday 5 April. Please be aware that campus roads and parking will be busy over the weekend.
Approximately 14 spaces will be closed in P1 Science car park nearby the Genome building from Monday 14 to Friday 25 April, to undertake new bollard installations in the area. Please use alternative car parking nearby.
