Ten final year students have won graduation packages worth £150 for taking part in the National Student Survey (NSS). Each prize covers the cost of gown hire, two guest tickets and a basic photography package.
The NSS is an external, UK-wide survey of all final-year undergraduate students, which takes place every year. As you near the end of your degree, it’s an opportunity to tell the world about your time at Sussex.
This year the NSS ran from 27 January until 30 April. All final year students who completed the survey online were automatically entered into a prize draw for 10 graduation packages. Ipsos, which runs the NSS on behalf of the Office for Students, selected the winners at random last month. All the winners have already been contacted with details on how to claim their prize.
This year’s winners are:
Rowan Vincent-Lake (School of Media, Arts and Humanities)
James Martins (University of Sussex Business School)
Jake Palazzolo (School of Media, Arts and Humanities)
Bora Isilak (School of Engineering and Informatics)
Kate Howard (School of Life Sciences)
Layla Hammond (School of Law, Politics and Social Sociology)
Flora Kessell (School of Media, Arts and Humanities)
Three further winners all came from the Business School.
Finalists who completed the NSS were able to claim an exclusive class of 2025 t-shirt and the University is also donating £1 to charity for every student who took. We will split this donation between charities chosen by students in a poll sent out in December:
Surfers Against Sewage (32% of the vote)
Rocking Horse Children's Foundation (28% of the vote)
UNICEF (25% of the vote)
Student Minds (15% of the vote)
