Light up the season: campus tree lighting event
Don’t miss our traditional Christmas tree lighting event! Grab mince pies, empanadas, festive treats, mulled wine or hot choc and sing along with the Sussex Chamber Choir. Join us in Library Square on Tuesday 2 December from 4.30pm with a countdown to the big switch-on at 5:30pm. Festive vibes guaranteed!
Festive drinks now in our cafés
Our cafés are serving up winter warmers that taste like Christmas in a cup. Grab a Biscoff latte, a cinnamon bun latte, or swing by Starbucks for their toffee nut latte. For the costa fans - hit the Library café for their iconic gingerbread latte.

Sweet treats and festive bites
Meet the star of the season: our Homemade Christmas sausage rolls. They’re made with the same premium-quality meat used by Harrods (but at very non-Harrods prices). Think pork, chestnuts, sage and onion stuffing, cranberry and apricot. Basically Christmas wrapped in pastry.
Got a sweet tooth? Try our Christmas rolled croissants topped with Santa or Rudolph icing or grab a Christmas tree doughnut for a mid-afternoon boost.
Christmas dinner in Eat Central
Grab your mates - on Thursday 4 and Friday 5 December, head to Counter 1 in Eat Central for a full-on festive feast. Go classic with turkey and all the trimmings or level up with one of our Christmas Smash Burgers. Perfect for celebrating the end of term – and there’s a festive student discount if you bring your ID.
