The third and final Student Food Takeover of the year is coming to Eat Central on Wednesday 6 and Thursday 7 May!
This time we’re being treated to Greek pastitsio, as submitted by Eleni Chatziioannou.
Pastitsio is a traditional Greek baked pasta dish, like a lasagne but made using pasta tubes, a meat ragu with a hint of cinnamon, and creamy bechamel sauce.
Eleni chose to submit this comforting classic because of the nostalgic memories it brings back. Growing up in Greece, her grandmother would often make pastitsio for the entire family as it's a favourite for children and adults alike. Now, Eleni continues the tradition by cooking it for her flat mates here at Sussex, and she says there are never any leftovers.
