Our Entrepreneurship opportunities are open to students from all subjects and all years of study, as well as recent graduates (within three years of graduating).
What is ‘entrepreneurship’ all about?
Put simply, Entrepreneurship is about having an idea and making it happen! This could include freelance activity, commercial ventures, or developing a creative, environmental or social impact project.
And employers increasingly look to hire people with an entrepreneurial mindset and skills to enhance innovation and productivity within their organisation.
Throughout the 2026-27 academic year, you can get involved in a range of events, programmes and opportunities designed to help you develop your entrepreneurial skillset, spark bright ideas, and potentially bring a venture to life.

Ideas Lab
Being entrepreneurial can serve you no matter what path you take in life. Our two entry-level Ideas Lab sessions are designed to help you explore their entrepreneurial side, build the skills and self-awareness needed to generate meaningful ideas, and start developing a venture.

Go Freelance
Go Freelance provides inspiration and straightforward guidance to help students and recent graduates take their first steps towards freelancing. It includes an introductory session in December, followed by the option to receive weekly action prompts to support you on your freelancing journey.

Bright Ideas Fund
A brand new fund, for the brand new academic year! The Bright Ideas Fund is an opportunity to apply for £250-£500 to research, develop and test an early-stage concept. It’s simple to apply and is an accessible and low-risk way to experiment, build confidence, and explore the potential of an idea before taking it further.
