Fill in our online form to appeal against an Examination Board’s decision.

Before you appeal

Make sure you have carefully read and understood our appeals guidance and Academic Appeals Regulations [PDF 290.43KB].

You can access further support, advice or guidance to help you understand the appeal process. This is recommended, as Formal Appeals and Appeal Outcome Review requests can only be considered based on the information that you provide in the appeal form and any supporting evidence you submit.

You can contact:

  • the University’s Student Advice service at the Student Centre (this is separate to the Students’ Union) – you can get advice about the appeals process and regulations
  • the Students’ Union – advisers can provide you with independent advice and help you with your appeal.

You'll need to confirm your agreement at the end of this form, stating that you have read and understood the guidance and advice given.

This form will be available when appeals are open, from the date that exam results are published. Find out when exam results will be available.

Tip: You cannot save this form and come back to it later. Gather all the information and evidence you need before you start filling it in.

After you appeal

Once you have filled in the online form, you’ll get an automatic confirmation to your Sussex email. Keep this safe.

If you don’t get a confirmation email, you might not have filled in the form correctly or completed the relevant sections.
