Ex gratia payments
We provided an ex gratia scheme for previous industrial action. This closed on 21 February 2020.
While Sussex was the only university to offer this scheme for the strike period in 2019, due to the extremely high levels of unexpected expenditure connected to Covid-19, such as the need to invest significantly in technology and waiving rents for students who had left campus accommodation early, we are unfortunately not in a position to offer it this time. In addition, the University has already begun investing funds towards all the preparations for safely returning everyone to campus for the next academic year.
