Home students
For you to receive your student funding, the University must confirm your attendance. We do this by asking you to come and collect your student ID card from the Student Centre in person.
Deadline: If you collect your ID card by 4pm on Wednesday 23 September, and if your application has been fully approved, your funding should be processed in time for Monday 28 September when teaching begins.
If you collect your ID card after 4pm on Wednesday 23 September, your funding will usually be released within three working days of collecting your ID card. This may mean your funding is not available by the start of teaching on 28 September.

International students
If you are an international undergraduate, postgraduate or postgraduate researcher with a student visa, you need to come to the Student Centre to complete the registration process. You will be issued your student ID card as part of this.
Find out when to complete registration if you’re on a student visa.
International students with a non-student visa do not need to attend an in-person registration system and can upload your documents online. We’ll check your docuements to confirm your registration and let you know your ID card is ready to collect. Learn more about registration for overseas students on a non-student visa.
