At Sussex there are lots of non-teaching spaces for students, places where you can study, eat, drink and socialise in, be mindful and spiritual, exercise – and we’re so fortunate that our green campus is nestled in the beautiful South Downs National Park – and from the 25 April there will be a brand new purpose-built space for students to use and enjoy – The Student Centre.
Students have been at the heart of the Student Centre design, ensuring that the needs of students and delivery of services speak directly to the Student Experience. Student Connectors have fed into a range of aspects including the design and feel of spaces, service delivery and many other critical features of this space. It’s been designed for students to use in lots of different ways, including quiet study areas, heat and eat facilities, a relaxing courtyard garden, places to catch up with friends and much more.
As well as the variety of spaces available, confidential student support, advice and guidance services sessions and meetings will be run from the Centre, and over time more services and activities will be delivered from the building.
How to find the Student Centre
You can visit and start using the Student Centre from Monday 25 April and the address is:
The Student Centre, Refectory Road, Falmer, Brighton.
The Centre’s main entrance is opposite the Health Centre/Lancaster House Road on Refectory Road.
