After a fantastic competition where he beat his first round opponent by a 10 point maximum and made a last minute comeback to take victory in the semi-final, James was in the perfect position to battle it out for gold. Unfortunately an injury sustained in the early stages of the final was going to end his winning streak. After bravely fighting on (with what turned out to be a broken hand!) James narrowly missed out on the gold medal but came away with an impressive silver.
A massive well done to James for such a great achievement on the international stage, we can’t wait to see what colour medal he brings home next time!
