Fraud warning for international students making fee payments

International students are being targeted by scammers who offer to give you a better payment rate than the official University payment partners.
These scammers will offer to pay your tuition on your behalf at a better rate. However, these payments are being made using stolen credit cards.
Please ensure that you always pay your own fees. Never give your login details to a third party and only use University-approved payment routes through Sussex Direct.
If you are unsure about making a payment, please contact our Student Accounts team by emailing them at studentaccounts@sussex.ac.uk or calling them on 0800 849 4979.
Visit the Student Hub to find more information on paying tuition fees safely and how to protect yourself from fraud.
Take Five, a national campaign aimed at stopping fraud, provides additional advice on recognising and avoiding scams.
