No suggestion goes unnoticed, and sometimes it’s the small things that matter the most. Over 3,000 students and staff took part in our catering survey in December 2022.
Feedback from the survey, and Foodie Forums, has resulted in lots of catering improvements around campus. Eat Central undertook an impressive refurbishment this year for example, with The Veg Bowl @ Dhaba and the Library Café undertaking smaller-scale upgrades.
Campus menus have also been improved, providing plenty of inclusive options with something for everyone to enjoy. Not only can you now choose from a wider variety of meals, including new and improved Sussex Saver options but, with carbon labelling recently being introduced in catering outlets, you can make choices that contribute to the reduction of your greenhouse gas emissions.
And that’s not all – your recipe suggestions have helped our campus chefs enrich their menus, with Student Food Takeovers inviting you to submit international meals for our chefs to prepare! Look out for more food takeovers in spring.
