SHAC services are free, confidential and here when you need them. You don’t need to be registered with a GP in Brighton to use our service. If you’re starting university or returning for the new academic year, here are a few simple things you can do to look after your sexual health.
Create your online account
Once you have your Brighton and Hove address you can register for a Patient Health Record (PHR), which lets you manage your sexual health care online.
Your Patient Health Record will let you:
- manage appointments
- order STI test kits
- view test results
- receive secure messages from clinic staff.
Your PHR is one way to access our services - you can still use our other services such as walk-in appointments if you don’t have an account.
Do a routine STI test
Starting a new academic year is a good opportunity to have a routine STI test. Testing is free and you can:
- order an at-home STI test using your PHR
- collect one from an STI test kit vending machine
- pick up a free chlamydia/gonorrhoea test from any C-Card site.
