You don’t need to have lots of partners to pick up an STI, but having more partners can increase the chance of getting an infection. Most people won’t have any symptoms so you might have one without knowing. That’s why it’s important to be tested regularly to keep you and your partners in good sexual health. Brighton sexual heath testing week is from 9-16 September, so now is a great time to get yourself tested.
Testing is free and discreet. The easiest way to test is to order a free at home test kit from SHAC. Receive the pack in the post, take your samples and post it back to them. You can even get your test pack sent to another address if you prefer. Treatment for STIs is free and effective. You can get an STI test by asking reception at the Student Centre.
Got symptoms? Visit SHAC Central at Morley Street, Brighton, for on the day care.
