Digital Discovery Week: see what’s on

Library staff member working from home

Next week (9-13 November) will see the return of our annual Digital Discovery Week, full of exciting workshops and seminars exploring digital technologies and innovations that we invite you to join.

To start the week we’ll be running a virtual ‘Ask Me Anything’ where you can ask for recommendations on new tools, help on how to get the best out of the ones that you’re already using, or just find out more about what’s on during the week.

From talks on Digital Employability and Open Publishing to workshops on Digital Productivity and web scraping, this year we will focus on sessions that provide you with the most value and support in the current climate.

You can also join our ‘Digital Database a day’ webinars where you can learn how to use some of the Library’s most popular databases and vote for which one you’d like covered on the final day.

We’ll finish the week with a session from the Technology Enhanced Learning team about passing the digital baton: how do we prepare for a future world in which digital skills, or the capacity to develop them, are critical?

With online film screenings, social media chats and much more, there’s something for everyone – and it’s all free!

Visit the Library website for the full programme and booking information.
