The Careers and Employability Centre is here to support you throughout your time at Sussex. Things are a little different this term, so we’re offering most of our services online for now. Here’s what you need to know.

We help with jobs and so much more

We can help you with finding jobs, placements and graduate schemes. We also help with things like CVs, interviews, networking and how to start your own business.

This year for the first time, we’re offering one-to-one appointments and workshops online, to make our services easier to access for all students.

If you’ve got any questions, try our online resources, join a workshop, ask us a question or book an appointment.

Got a business or social enterprise idea?

Our Entrepreneurship team can help you get it started or grow if you’re already running one. Look out for workshops throughout the year to help you turn your ideas into a reality.

Not sure about your plans?

That’s fine. You don’t have to know right now! Your career options and plans will change throughout your degree, that’s completely normal. Check out our job sector guides for information and tips from industry.

We bring employers to you

We’ve all seen job adverts that sound tailor-made for us, but we want to know more about the people, the culture, the company, and that’s what we try to help with. Our virtual events are your chance to meet employers before you apply.

We have three virtual fairs coming up including the Part-Time Jobs and Volunteering Fair on Thursday 1 October. With our Careers Fair app you’ll be able to browse employers and book appointments to speak to them if you choose. Look out for more details about the Law Fair and Careers Fair coming soon.

We’re for everyone

Whether you’re first-year or final year, foundation or PhD, it’s your service. We support you throughout your degree and for three years after you graduate.

If you want to know more about our services and how you can make the most of them, visit sussex.ac.uk/careers or follow us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
