Your say: become a Student Rep

Student Rep

Applications have opened for Student Reps, representatives and PG officers.

What are Student Reps?

Student Reps listen to student feedback and work with staff and students, both at the University and the Students’ Union, to make sure you’re getting the most out of Sussex.

What are Representatives and PG officers?

Are you a part-time student, a mature student, a student parent or a first generation scholar? Are you a Masters or PGR student? You could become a representative or officer for the next year.

With support from the Students’ Union, representatives and officers create a network for these students, organise events and feedback any issues these students are having to the Union and University.

Why should you put yourself forward?

You would gain:

  • access to training
  • valuable experience
  • transferable skills
  • opportunities to sit on University committees and attend Union Council
  • confidence.
