The University has extended its award-shortlisted £2 subsidised meal scheme until the end of the academic year. Each day, both a vegetarian and a vegan option are offered at this price, giving you the opportunity to grab a healthy and tasty hot meal whilst on campus.
The £2 menu options change daily to provide a wide range of delicious dishes. Recent options include mushroom-topped mac and cheese, aubergine stew, falafel flatbread, vegetable lasagne, paneer tikka masala, and Cajun enchiladas. If you haven’t tried one already, you can get your £2 meal at Eat Central (on the ground floor of Bramber House) from 12 noon-5pm every day.
The scheme has proven popular with students and staff alike, with over 20,000 subsidised hot meals having now been served. It has been shortlisted for the Cost of Living Award at this year's Whatuni Student Choice Awards.
