Your wellbeing: support through Student Space

The start of this academic year has been challenging for students in so many ways. Now more than ever it is important to prioritise your wellbeing and mental health.

At a time where adjusting to a remote lifestyle may leave people feeling isolated and lonely, it is crucial that you know what support is available to you and that you do not need to go through this alone.

We would really encourage you to make use of the brand new service Student Space this year. Student Space has been funded by the Office for Students and has been set up specifically to support student mental health and wellbeing. Through it you can access:

One-to-one support via phone, web chat, text or email

Student Space has trained volunteers to talk about whatever challenges you are facing via whatever channel you are most comfortable with. Even if you are not someone who usually struggles with their mental health and wellbeing, talking things through with someone is of real value. Don’t keep it to yourself!

Information and resources to help with the challenges of Covid-19

Student Space offers comprehensive advice to help with your adjustment to a new way of studying and living. Located on the Student Space website, there are guides and resources to help you with your studies, your mental health and wellbeing and your social life this year, as well as helping you to cope with grief and loss.
