Your studies: support from the Library

The Library team has been busy delivering online services over the summer and getting ready to welcome you back to the Library building. Our highest priority is the safety and comfort of students and staff.

To get started this year, have a look at our tour of the Library website, designed to help you find lots of information and your way around.

The Library building is open from 8am to 11pm, Monday to Friday, and from 10am to 5pm on Saturday and Sunday. Our opening hours may change as the term progresses so keep an eye out on our homepage for updates.

We have two new services this term, Click and Collect and Click and Study. You’ll be able to access the Library once you have ordered your book or booked a study space.

We launched the Click and Collect service for anyone looking to order a book and collect it from the Library.

We have over 300 study spaces across all floors of the building where we are maintaining 2-metre social distancing, and computer clusters and Chromebooks are available to use. There are increased cleaning materials so you can clean your study spaces before and after use.

There’s a one-way system in place and plenty of signage so you can find your way around the Library easily while maintaining social distancing. If you need help in the building, our reception team is on hand for enquiries and staff are on site to assist you.

We’re continuing to offer remote services for everyone accessing the Library online. We offer 1-2-1 teaching sessions, and workshops and tutorials on academic skills, which can be found on Skills Hub.

You can also access Library chat on our web pages.
