Carrying out activities for an overseas organisation
If you’re conducting an activity at the direction of a foreign government or organisation – including “specified foreign powers” – you may need to register this under the Foreign Influence Registration Scheme (FIRS). This scheme enhances transparency around foreign influence in the UK. If you’re not sure whether your activity needs to be registered under FIRS, email firs@sussex.ac.uk.
