Sussex Food are back and better than ever this term! We've been working hard to improve the food offers across campus for both students and staff.
We've launched several new concepts in Eat Central, including vegan Greek wraps, utilising some of the best meat substitutes we could find, Caribbean classics such as jerk chicken and brown stew chicken, Vietnamese banh mi sandwiches and loaded hot dogs, giving a nod to some of the best handheld street foods you can find. Plus, there's a new and improved salad bar that we hope means healthy doesn’t have to be boring.
New for the Dhaba Café
The much loved, peaceful vegetarian Dhaba café is also undergoing a few changes.
- New salad bar, with plenty of choice. Options will be constantly rotating but you can expect bowls full of tomato and mozzarella salad, potato salad, kale slaw and improved dressings.
- An all-new rotating 2-week menu, where you’ll find your favourite vegetarian and vegan dishes from Eat now available in the relaxing café. Expect Caribbean curries and vegan pie and mash!
- Vegan and gluten free cake range. Dhaba’s sweet range is now catered towards anyone wanting a free from treat.
Freshly-made sandwiches
There are new "made fresh daily" ranges being rolled out across different cafes such as the popular mozzarella, pastrami and ham sandwiches available in Library Café, as well as a mozzarella and tomato in ACCA café. You’ll also find breakfast muffins, cheesy croissants and chicken paninis in all our outlets.
Pop-ups coming soon
You can expect imaginative pop-ups in the month to come, such as crowd pleasing bao buns, refreshing Hawaiian poke and indulgent cheesecake (just to name a few).
